Man charged with theft and mischief

SAULT STE MARIE POLICE SERVICE

On June 3, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 34-year-old Mathew Sinclair of Queen Street West in relation to a theft and mischief.

It is alleged that on May 17, 2017 the accused took a bicycle from a residence in the 400 block of Queen Street West. 

Later, on June 3, (it is alleged) the accused used a crowbar and attempted to pry open the door of a motor vehicle in a parking lot in the 400 block of Queen Street West.

Police were contacted and the accused was quickly arrested. He was charged with one count of theft under $5,000 and one count of mischief. He will appear in court on July 10, 2017.
