A 26-year-old from Mississauga has been charged after a search warrant was executed on Great Northern Road on Wednesday.

Detectives with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service's Crime Suppression Unit and the Ontario Provincial Police, with help from the Emergency Services Unit, were involved in the investigation.

The search warrant was executed around 9 a.m. and police say the accused to be in possession of approximately 76 grams of suspected fentanyl and $220 in cash. The estimated street value of the drugs is $30,776.

As a result, Devone Revay has been charged with possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking as well as possession of property obtained by crime.

None of the allegations have been tested in court and Revay is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
