On August 9, 2015, city police responded to a domestic incident near Pine Street. It is alleged that a verbal argument became violent and the victim was assaulted and had to seek medical treatment.

On August 9, 2015, city police responded to a domestic incident near Pine Street. It is alleged that a verbal argument became violent and the victim was assaulted and had to seek medical treatment. The accused male age 53 was arrested for assault causing bodily harm and will appear in bail court on August 10, 2015 at 10 a.m.

On August 9, 2015, city police attended in the area of St. George’s Avenue in response to a domestic assault. Investigation revealed that the female accused age 21 allegedly assaulted the victim by punching him in the face. The accused was not present but later turned herself in at the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service. The accused is scheduled to appear in court on September 16, 2015 at 9:30 a.m.

On August 9, 2015 police were dispatched to the area of Boundary Road regarding an assault complaint. Investigation revealed that a male age 20 allegedly attended a residence that he was ordered by the courts not to attend. While there the male spit in the victim’s face. Police later arrested the accused and charged him with assault and breach of recognizance X 2. The accused will appear in bail court on August 10, 2015 at 10 a.m. The accused is now being identified as 20-year-old Darren Criece of Biggings Avenue, Sault Ste Marie.

On August 9, 2015, city police attended at the Walmart in the Station Mall regarding a theft. It is alleged that Michel Koussaye age 26 left the store with merchandise that he concealed and had not pay for. The accused was arrested by a loss prevention officer. Police continued the arrest and charged the accused with theft under $5,000. The accused is scheduled to appear in court on September 14, 2015 at 9 a.m.

On August 10, 2015 at approximately 12:50 a.m., city police Drug Enforcement Officers and Uniform Officers attended in the area of Trunk Road regarding a male subject allegedly in possession of Fentanyl patches. After a short foot pursuit officers apprehended a male age 32 and charged him with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. The value of the suspected Fentanyl was $16,500. The accused will appear in bail court on August 10, 2015 at 10 a.m.
