At 8 a.m. on August 17, 2015 city police arrested a 23 year old female on a domestic related mischief to property. It’s alleged that the female attended the residence of her ex common-law and damaged some of his property.

At 8 a.m. on August 17, 2015 city police arrested a 23 year old female on a domestic related mischief to property.  It’s alleged that the female attended the residence of her ex common-law and damaged some of his property.  She was charged with one count of Mischief to Property under $5000.00 and is scheduled to appear in Bail Court today, August 17, 2015.

At 11:30 a.m. on August 17, 2015 26 year old Daniel Lepage of Gloucester St. turned himself in at the Sault Ste Marie Court House on an outstanding arrest warrant.  It is alleged that on May 24, 2015 the accused assaulted a male person not known to him causing minor injuries.  Lepage was charged with one count of assault and one count of breach of probation.  He will be appearing in court on September 21, 2015.

On August 17, 2015 just before 7:30 p.m., city police attended on Central Street for a break and enter. The break in occurred overnight. A Wii game system was taken as well as a Nikon camera were taken.

On August 16 just after midnight, city police arrested a 21-year-old female and charged her with one count of assault. It is alleged that the female assaulted her boyfriend by punching him and repeatedly hitting him. The victim received injuries but did not require medical treatment. The accused has been charged with one count of assault and appeared in WASH court on Sunday morning.

On August 16 just after 1 a.m., city police arrested a 24-year-old male and charged him with five counts of assault and three counts of threatening. It is alleged that between June of 2014 to July of 2015, the accused assaulted his now ex-girlfriend by punching and grabbing her on three occasions, assaulted the victim’s children by grabbing them and further threatened to burn the victim’s house down with her and her children in the residence. The accused appeared in WASH court on Sunday morning.

22-year-old Tyler Holmberg of Hill Street was arrested and charged on August 16 with one count of assault. It is alleged that the accused assaulted a male known to him by punching him. The accused will appear in court on September 21, 2015.

On August 15 a residence on Chapple Street was broken into sometime between August 14 and August 15. Nothing appears to have been taken.

On August 15 just before 10 p.m., city police attended at St. Basils Secondary School on St. Georges Avenue East for a break and enter. Entry was gained by breaking a window however nothing appears to have been taken.

On August 16 a resident on Dacey Road report a theft of a purse from a vehicle overnight. Also, a resident on Pardee Avenue reported theft of change from a vehicle overnight.

On August 16, unknown persons broke into an apartment in the 100 block of Second Line West. Entry was gained through a window. Stolen was jewelry, cigarettes and a T.V. Police are continuing their investigation.
