A 21 year old male turned himself in to the City Police early this morning on domestic related charges from August 12th. It is alleged he assaulted his girlfriend by grabbing her by the arm, kicking her in the buttocks and punching her in the back of the head. He also assaulted her again by throwing a liquor bottle at her and also hitting her with a broom. As a result he was charged with 1 count of assault and 2 counts of assault with a weapon. The accused male will be appearing in Bail Court at 10:00 am this morning.
A 22 year old male was also arrested on domestic charges from an incident that took place late Sunday night. Information obtained by the Police was that the accused grabbed the female victim by the throat and threatened to kill her. He also pushed another female who was in the residence at the time. The male was subsequently charged with 2 counts of assault and 1 count of uttering threats. He will be appearing in Bail Court this morning as well.
