Evening news: 21-year-old Kimberly Robinson of the 300-block of Old Goulais Bay Road was picked up by City Police today regarding an outstanding warrant from Probation and Parole.

21-year-old Kimberly Robinson of the 300-block of Old Goulais Bay Road was picked up by City Police today regarding an outstanding warrant from Probation and Parole. It is alleged she breached 5 separate conditions of her Probation dating back to 2013. They consisted of failing to notify address changes, failing to report to her probation officer as directed and failing to complete community work. She will be appearing in Bail Court tomorrow.

A 22-year-old male was arrested by City Police officers today for a domestic assault. It is alleged the male assaulted his female girlfriend on February 23 at his east end residence. He will be appearing in Bail Court tomorrow as well.

Morning news:

On February 22, 2014, a homeowner in the 200 block of Wellington Street West reported a break and enter to their residence.  The break and enter occurred between the 20th and 22nd. Items taken include a lap top, a white X-box 360 and jewellery.

On the 22nd of February a homeowner in the 500 block of McNabb Street returned to their residence mid-afternoon and discovered their home had been entered. Jewellery was taken.

On the 23rd of February a homeowner on Moss Road returned home and discovered their residence had been broken into in the evening. Items taken include a Toshiba laptop and a Samsung smart phone.

An 18-year-old female will appear in a bail court this morning. It is alleged that yesterday afternoon the accused attended at the residence of her ex-boyfriend. The accused was on release conditions related to a prior domestic incident involving the same victim. The conditions included not to communicate with the male or to attend at his residence. The accused has been charged with three counts of breach of an undertaking.

On the 23rd of February at 4:11 p.m., police attended the 100 block of Trunk Road for a motor vehicle collision with injuries. An investigation revealed that 54-year-old Robert John Larocque of Charlotte Drive was driving one of the vehicles involved. A female driver of the second vehicle was transported to hospital with minor injuries. Larocque was determined to be a suspended driver, disqualified for life. He has been arrested and charged for driving while disqualified and breach of a recognizance for violating the bail condition ‘not occupy the driver's seat of any motor vehicle’. He will appear in bail court Monday morning.

A 32-year-old male is in custody charged with assault causing bodily harm and 4 counts of breach of probation after a domestic violence incident in the city’s east end at 7 a.m. Sunday morning. It is alleged that that the accused committed the offence of assault causing bodily harm to the victim by punching her in the face causing her injuries. In addition the accused was bound by conditions of probation not to attend within within 100 meters of the victim’s residence, not to communicate with her and keep the peace and be of good behaviour. He has also been charged with breach of probation for consuming alcohol. He will appear in bail court on Monday morning.

A search continues for missing person Brandon Roussain. 15-year-old Brandon Roussain left his family's residence in the 300 Block of John St. between 4 and 5 p.m. Sunday 23 Feb 2014 and has not returned. As released earlier, Brandon Roussain is described as heavy build, 5'7', 220 lbs, short brown hair wearing a colourful toque, dark brown glasses, a black bomber style leather jacket and old baggy jeans. He was carrying two duffel bags with him when he left home. Police are concerned for his well being and are asking anyone who may have seen or knows the whereabouts of Brandon Roussain to call police at 705-949-6300.

At 2:20 a.m. police were called to the Roosevelt Hotel on Korah Road for an intoxicated female fighting and causing a disturbance. 40-year-old Selena Burns of Campbell Avenue was arrested and a subsequent search of her person located suspected narcotics. She has been charged with possession of a scheduled substance – cocaine and will appear in court on March 24, 2014.
