On the 12th of January 2014 shortly after midnight officers attended at a west end residence for a domestic dispute. It is alleged that a 47 year old female and her common law spouse were involved in a verbal argument that escalated. It is alleged that the female grabbed two knives and pressed them against the victim’s stomach. The victim was not injured. The female has been charged with one count of assault with a weapon and will appear in bail court this morning.
On the 12th of January a homeowner on Laurentian Drive reported that someone had attempted to break into their vehicle. Entry was not gained but a door handle and the driver’s door were damaged.
On the 12th of January a resident on Albert Street West reported a break and enter. The break in happened sometime in the early afternoon of the 12th. A chainsaw was taken.

A 36 year old male turned himself in at the police station on warrants regarding a domestic violence allegation. It is alleged that on the 3rd of December the accused assaulted a female by grabbing her by the throat and punching her. The victim received injuries that did not require medical treatment. It is also alleged that he threatened to kill her. He will be appearing in bail court this morning charged with assault and threatening.
A 29 year old male was arrested as a result of a domestic violence call. It is alleged that the accused assaulted the female victim on December 31 by punching her in the face. It is further alleged that on the 11th of January the accused damaged the victim’s cell phone. It is also alleged that on January 12 the accused threatened to kill the victim, assaulted her by choking and punching her and punched and kicked holes in the walls of her apartment. There were no injuries requiring medical attention. At the time of these offences the accused was on probation with a condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. The accused will be appearing in bail court charged with two counts of assault, two counts of mischief, one count of threatening and three counts of breach of probation.
35 year old Jason Pinsent of no fixed address was arrested on a warrant for breaching his probation by not reporting as directed. He will be appearing in bail court today.
