Sometime overnight between January 16 and January 17, a shed on Pentagon Boulevard was entered. Nothing was taken from the shed. However thieves did steal a 2008 Mercury 25 horsepower long outboard motor from a boat stored in the yard.

Arrests

In the early morning hours of the 18th of January 2016 officers from Patrol Services received a complaint of a domestic assault.  It is alleged that a 31-year male attended at the address of his estranged wife and entered the home.  The victim told the accused to leave or she would contact the police. The accused ripped the home phone out of the wall and also smashed the victim’s cell phone.  The accused then sexually assaulted the victim in addition to punching and choking her.  The victim tried to leave the residence several times but the accused would not let her.  She was eventually able to leave the residence. 

At that time the police were notified. The victim received medical treatment for non-life threatening injuries. Officers from Patrol Services and Emergency Services attended at the residence of the victim and located the accused.  The accused was taken into custody without incident.  The male has been charged with one count of Sexual Assault, one count of Forcible Confinement, One count of Assault and one count of Mischief.  The accused will appear in bail court on January 19th.   

Mischiefs

A home and vehicle were both spray-painted with “Tags” overnight on Charles St. 

Thefts

An orange Columbia Snow Thrower was stolen from a residence on Second Av. Sometime this morning.

Sometime between January 12 and January 17, a residence in the 200 block of Albert Street East was broken into. Alcohol, a PlayStation 3 with two controllers, 20 Play Station3 games and an undisclosed amount of money were taken.
