On January 20, 2014 Police Officers were called to a break and enter at Factory Auto Collision at 766 Peoples Rd. Officers learned that thieves had tried to gain entry to the building. At this time it is uncertain what was taken.
Morning news:
On January 19, 2014 two suspects entered West 49 clothing store. It is alleged that one picked out a jacket and the other left the store with it. The two accused were caught on video and later arrested. Jessica McGloin, age 22 of Queen Street East, stands charged with theft under $5000 and breach of probation. The accused will appear in court on February 24, 2014, at 9 a.m. The second accused, Daniel Murphy, age 23 of Amber Street is charged with theft under $5000 and breach of probation. The accused is also on a court ordered conditional sentence order and will appear in bail court January 20, 2014 at 10 a.m.
On January 19, 2014 the accused male, age 46 attended at the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service and turned himself in on a domestic related arrest warrant. It is alleged that on January 15, 2014 the accused assaulted his common law partner by causing injury to the victims head and ribs. The accused also allegedly smashed property owned by the victim. The accused will appear in bail court on January 20, 2014 at 10 a.m.
On January 19, 2014 police answered a call of a male passed out at a bus stop in front of 271 Dacey Road. Upon arrival a records check was done and revealed the male to have several outstanding warrants. The accused Tyler Seaton, age 27 of Garthdale Court, was arrested for breach of probation X3, theft under $5000, failing to attend court, failing to attend for finger prints and possession of property obtained by crime. The accused will appear in bail court on January 20, 2014 at 10 a.m.
