On June 15, 2015 at 11:55 am Patrol Officers arrested and charged Elizabeth Lucas, age 18 of James St. Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario with Assault with a Weapon. It is alleged that the accused threw a board at a person. Minor injuries, that did not require medical treatment, were sustained by the victim. The accused will appear in court Mon. July 20th, 2015.
On June 14, 2015, city police took a report of an attempt break and enter to a residence on Blake Avenue. At approximately 7:30 a.m. a homeowner heard a banging noise at her house and looked out a window and observed two males ran off. The suspects had removed a screen off of a window. The males fled the area on foot and were last seen hopping a neighbbour’s fence. The only description is that they were young and one of the males had a blue sweatshirt with white writing on it.
On June 14, 2015, city police attended St. George’s Avenue East for a report of a break and enter. The break and enter occurred on May 31. Items taken include a camera and a case, an undisclosed amount of money, three rings, several necklaces and a white box.
On June 13, 2015, city police attended in the downtown area after receiving a 911 call regarding a domestic violence. It is alleged that a 31-year-old male got into an argument with his common-law spouse. It is further alleged that the accused assaulted the victim and would not initially let her leave the residence or call for help. The victim was able to get away and called police. The male was arrested and charged short time later. He’s been charged with one count of assault one count of forcible confinement and will appear bail court this morning.
On June 15 at 2:20 a.m., Patrol Officers arrested and charged Darren Criece, age 20 of Cathcart Street, with theft under $5,000. It is alleged the accused stole an ebike from a downtown residence. The accused will appear in court on July 13.
On June 14 at 11:28 p.m. Patrol Officers arrested and charged a 47-year-old male with threatening death. The accused male had recently estranged from his spouse. This evening the accused attended an east end residence and threatened to harm an adult male there. The accused will appear in court on July 13, 2015.
