Arrests 24 year old Josh Ryan Leclair of 67 Walnut St. and a 17 year old male were both charged with Break and Enter and Possession of Stolen Property. It is alleged that the accused persons were found on North St at approximately 4:30 a.m.

Arrests

24 year old Josh Ryan Leclair of 67 Walnut St. and a 17 year old male were both charged with Break and Enter and Possession of Stolen Property. It is alleged that the accused persons were found on North St at approximately 4:30 a.m. with approximately $1600.00 worth of copper wire. Further investigation revealed that a locked compound of a local electrical company had been broken into and copper wire had been taken. Both are to appear in Bail Court on June 25.

43 year old Jeffrey Frolich of 48 Ferguson turned himself in at the police station on an outstanding warrant for failing to appear for prints. He is now scheduled to appear in court on July 29 2013

Thefts

Four thefts from vehicles were reported two vehicles from the 300 block of Goulais Ave., one on Franklin St. and the other on Arden St. money and miscellaneous electronics were taken.

Police are reminding vehicle owners to lock their vehicles and not to leave any valuables in them when parked.

Arrests for impaired, theft and  assault and theft complaints

41-year old John Pearson of 1068 Queen Street East was arrested just before 4 am this morning and charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of over the legal limit. 

Police attended in the downtown area regarding the driving of the accused and he was subsequently arrested. 

He will appear in court on July 29th.

A 14-year old male will appear on bail court this morning after being arrested just before 5 am this morning. 

It is alleged that the male attempted to steal a van from a driveway on Connaught Avenue. 

The homeowner heard a noise in his garage and when he went outside the male ran away. 

The accused was located as short distance away by officers. 

The male was on a probation order with curfew conditions. 

The male has been charged with one count of theft under and one count of breach of probation.

30-year old Jennifer Adams of 4-128 Second Line West was arrested shortly after 4:30 am and charged with one count of assault, one count of breach of probation and one count of unlawfully in a dwelling house. 

It is alleged that the accused attended at the residence of a female known to her and entered the residence, uninvited. 

While in the residence the accused assaulted the female. 

The accused was on probation at the time of the incident with conditions to keep the peace and be of good behavior.

She will appear in bail court on the 29th of July.

On the 22nd of June a homeowner on Carlbert Street reported their vehicle had been entered overnight and change was taken.

On the 23rd of June at approximately 3:30 am a homeowner on Ascot reported that his vehicle had just been broken into. 

When the homeowner attended outside the male fled the area. 

A wallet and contents were taken. 

The male suspect is described as being about 18 years of age, about 5’11” tall, thin build, wearing a grey hoodie, dark pants and white runners. The K-9 unit attended in the area, but a search of the area was not successful.

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service would like to remind owners not to leave valuables in their vehicles overnight.
