On the morning of March 16, 2015 patrol officers had occasion to interact with 37-year old Cynthia Assiginack of Second Line. The investigation revealed an outstanding warrant for her arrest for breaching the conditions of her probation.

The investigation revealed an outstanding warrant for her arrest for breaching the conditions of her probation.  Assiginack  was arrested and charged with three counts of breach of probation.  She will be appearing in court April 20, 2015.

On the morning of March 16, 2015, officers with the Crime Suppression Unit located and arrested 36 year old Cindy Morrisette of Breton Road.  Morrisette was wanted on warrants for theft under $5000.  It is alleged she was observed stealing from a local LCBO store. She will be appearing in court April 20, 2015.

On the morning of March 16, 2015 officers arrested 20 year old Nicholas Martellini at the city courthouse.  It is alleged that Martellini failed to attend to get his fingerprints taken as required by a previous release document.  As a result, a warrant was issued for his arrest. He will be appearing in court April 20, 2015. 

Sometime overnight two vehicles were damaged and broken into near the 100 block of Elgin Street. The vehicles were parked and locked. Suspects broke out windows in both vehicles to gain entry.  Money and electronics were reported stolen.

On March 16, 2015, a 36-year-old male was arrested by Sault Ste. Marie police officers for two counts of breaching a court order and breach of probation. It is alleged that the male contacted his ex-girlfriend on two occasions in contravention of a Family Court Order that is in place between the two parties. The male is also on a probation order with a condition to keep the peace and be of good behavior. The male will appear in bail court on March 16.
