On March 2, 2015 at 10:30 am Police Officers with the Crime Suppression Unit arrested 21 year old Jason Genua of 23 Churchill Avenue for Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.

On March 2, 2015 at 10:30 am Police Officers with the Crime Suppression Unit arrested 21 year old Jason Genua of 23 Churchill Avenue for Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.   It alleged that the accused had in his possession extrication equipment reported stolen sometime between October 1stand November 30th 2014.  He will appear in court on April 13 2015.

On March 2, 2015 at 10:05 am Patrol Officers arrested a 32 year old male for two counts of domestic related Breach of Recognizance. It’s alleged the accused breached the terms of his recognizance by communicating with and attending the victim’s residence.  He will be appearing in court on March 2, 2015.

On March 2, 2015 at 10:45 am a 50 year old male turned himself in to Police. He was wanted on domestic related charges of Assault, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Mischief under $5,000.00.  It’s alleged that on February 18, 2015 the accused assaulted his partner, damaged property belonging to her and stole her personal identification.  He appeared in court on March 2, 2015.

On March 1 the OPP attended to a recreation centre on the Rankin Reserve and arrested an individual who was wanted on outstanding warrants from the city police. 33-year-old Alfred Peters of Gladstone Avenue was wanted for possession of stolen property and fraud from an occurrence dating back to May of last year. It is alleged Peters had a stolen ring and cheque in his possession and also cashed a cheque that did not belong to him. He was also charged with breaching 3 separate conditions of probation he was on, including failing to report when required. He will be appearing in Bail Court later this morning.

A 34-year-old male was arrested by city police officers last night at a west end address on a domestic related matter. It is alleged he got into an argument with his common-law wife which escalated in him throwing a laundry basket at her and closing the refrigerator door on her. He was charged with 2 counts of assault and will also be appearing in Bail Court this morning.
