Two Males Arrested For Robbery
On Sunday March 5th at approx. 12:20 AM City Police arrested two males for Robbery. It is alleged that at approx. 10:30 PM Saturday March 4th the two accused robbed a male person of a quantity of money. In the incident the accused persons knocked the victim to the ground, punched him and removed money from his pockets. The police located the suspects in the downtown area. Scott Joseph Robinson-Maerz, age 18, of 21 Ferguson St. is charged with Robbery and Breach of an Undertaking. The Co- Accused a youthful offender is charged with Robbery, Breach of Probation and Obstructing Police- by falsely identifying himself. Both accused will be in Bail Court today at 10:00 AM.
Domestic Dispute
Early Sunday morning City Police were called to a west end address in regards to a domestic dispute. Upon arrival the victim informed officers that her common-law boyfriend allegedly assaulted her. The victim reports being pushed several times and having her hand slammed against a chair. The victim did not require medical attention for her injuries. The 25-year-old male will be appearing in Bail Court today at 10:00 AM.
Two People Arrested For Impaired Driving
Jack Speers, age 76, of 13 Stevens St. was picked up for driving under the influence. It is alleged that Mr. Speers was operating his motor vehicle on Great Northern Rd at approx. 4:30 Pm on Friday afternoon when he caused a four vehicle collision. Mr. Speers is charged with Impaired Driving and Drive over 80mgs and will be appearing in court on Monday April 10th at 9:00 AM.
At approx. 2:40 AM on Sunday March 5th City Police observed a vehicle being driven on Queen St. E. in an erratic manner. It is alleged that when the officers stopped the vehicle they noticed that the driver was under the influence of alcohol. Police officers arrested the accused and charged her with Impaired Driving and Drive over 80mgs. Kelly Thompson, age 41, of 23 Terry Fox. Pl. Apt 216 will be appearing in court on Monday April 10th at 9:00 AM.
Alarm At Bus Terminal
At approx. 2:43 Am this morning City Police were dispatched to the City Bus Terminal on Queen St.E. regarding an alarm. Upon officers arrival they discovered that someone had broken a window on the south side of the building.
Vehicle Break & Enters, And Vandalism
City Police took six reports of theft from vehicles yesterday. Thefts were reported in the 300 block of John St., 100 block of Country Club Pl., 100 block of Bitonti Cr., the 300 block of MacDonald Ave., the 200 block of Queen St.E. and the 100 block of Taskar Dr. The public is reminded not to leave any valuables in their vehicles.
A vehicle parked in the 100 block of Arbor Dr. was damaged when u/k person(s) threw a brick through a window.
