Afternoon release: Arrests/Charged Persons: On May 13/2013, officers attended at the Sault Area Hospital regarding an assault complaint. It is alleged that a 32 year old female patient assaulted 3 nursing staff.

Arrests/Charged Persons: 

On May 13/2013, officers attended at the Sault Area Hospital regarding an assault complaint.  It is alleged that a 32 year old female patient assaulted 3 nursing staff.  As a result of the investigation, the woman was arrested and charged with 3 counts of assault as well as breaching the conditions of her probation order. She will appear in court June 17/2013.

Attempt Break and Enters:

An attempted break and enter was reported to a garage in the 100 block of Murton Ave.  Sometime over night, suspects broke and removed a window from the garage in an attempt to enter. Entry was not gained and nothing is believed to have been taken.

Break and Enters:

A break and enter was reported to a residence in the 100 block of St. George’s Ave. East.  During the morning hours, suspects smashed out the window of the back door and gained entry. A laptop and tablet was taken.

A break and enter was reported to a business in the 100 block of Industrial Park Crescent.  Last week unknown suspects cut locks off the compound gate and moved a quantity of copper wire to another area of the property.  The suspects then returned to the property early Saturday morning in an attempt to steal the copper.  The owner of the business had relocated the copper wire to a safe location and nothing was taken.

Morning release:

A 68 year old man will appear in bail court this morning charged with breach of an undertaking and uttering threats.  He had previously been released on conditions following a sexual assault charge.  It is alleged that on 12May13 at approximately 10:25 hours he telephone the parents of his victim and threatened them.
