On May 26, 2014 at 10:53 am Patrol Officers arrested and charged Ryan Young, age 21 with Breach of Recognizance. Young had failed to sign in at the Police Station as per a previous release document. He will appear in court on June 23rd.

Shortly before 11 p.m. last night, city police received a call that a male had kicked in a door of a residence in the lower area of Birch Street. The homeowners were home and the would-be intruder was scared off. A clothing description was given to the police by the residents. A short time later, a male matching the description was located in the St. Georges Avenue area just east of St. Basils School. It was determined that this was the male who had kicked in the door and as a result he was arrested. 25-year-old Edward Hodgson of Sweetgrass Street in Garden River was charged with break and enter with intent. He will be appearing in Provincial Court on June 30.
While on routine patrol last night, city police officers observed a vehicle drive through a stop sign at Black Road and Old Garden River Road, and proceed onto Old Garden River Road crossing over the centre line on at least 2 occasions. The vehicle was pulled over and it was determined that the male driver had been drinking. As a result, 50-year-old Patrick Towell of Hwy. 17 North was charged with impaired driving and consuming over the legal limit. He will be appearing in Provincial Court on June 30.
