On November 23, 2015 at 1:20 p.m., City Police arrested and charged a 23 year old male in regard to an assault that occurred on November 16, 2015.

On November 23, 2015 at 1:20 p.m., City Police arrested and charged a 23 year old male in regard to an assault that occurred on November 16, 2015.  It is alleged that on that date, the accused assaulted a female not known  to him by kicking and punching her, resulting in injuries to the victim that required medical attention.  At the time of the alleged offence, the accused was on a recognizance of bail with a condition to be in his residence between 12:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. The alleged offence occurred at approximately 0240 in the morning.  He will be appearing in bail court on November 23, 2015 at which time his name will be released.

On November 21 at approximately 5:30 p.m. a female was walking eastbound on Queen Street East from the area of Gloucester Street. She was approached from behind, shoved to the ground and her purse was stolen. The victim was not harmed. The only description of the male is that he was young, Caucasian and was wearing a black jacket and white running shoes.

On November 21 just after 3 a.m. a homeowner on Northland Road was awaken and went outside. The homeowner thought he heard noises in his garage and when he opened the man door to the garage he observed a male inside. The male suspect ran at the homeowner and the two of them began to fight. At this point a second male suspect who was also inside the garage grabbed a set of bolt cutters and struck the homeowner in the hand.  Both male suspects pushed the homeowner to the ground and fled the scene. The victim required medical treatment for non-life threatening injuries. Officers attended and located two bags of tools that had been taken from the residence. The victim was only able to describe one of the suspects. The suspect is described as being Caucasian, in his 30’s, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, approximately 160 to 170 pounds, with greyish hair in a buzz cut. He also had blue eyes and was clean shaven.  

On November 21 just after 12 noon city police attended at a residence on Willow Avenue for an attempt break and enter. The homeowner was home at the time of the incident and reported that an unknown male knocked on the door but the homeowner did not answer the door. The suspect then tried to open the door, which was locked. A short time later the homeowner heard a window in the basement of the residence break and called 911. Police Service dog Justice and his handler were called out to assist with attempts to locate the suspect. The suspect is described as being a Caucasian male, in his late 20’s, with sandy blonde hair.  He was wearing a grayish Columbia style jacket with a hood up.
