On November 24, 2014 a male accused, age 40, turned himself in at the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service regarding a domestic matter.

On November 24, 2014 a male accused, age 40, turned himself in at the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service regarding a domestic matter.  The accused was on court ordered conditions not to communicate directly and indirectly with the victim, not to be at the residence of the victim and also to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.  The accused was arrested for breach of recognizance and breach of probation x2.  The accused appeared in bail court to answer to the allegations.

On November 24, 2014 a female accused turned herself in to City Police regarding outstanding warrants. One of the warrants was for a dated theft under $5,000 charge and failing to attend court regarding the theft charge.  The accused was also charged with trafficking in a controlled substance.  The accused, Alicia Meredith Haldenby age 29, will appear in bail court on November 25, 2014 at 10 a.m.

On November 24, 2014, City Police attended at an address in the west end of the city to do a compliance check on a female.  The accused was in fact at the residence and was not supposed to be there unless she was in the presence of her surety. Upon entering the residence, police located the female without her surety present.  The accused was arrested for breach of recognizance x3.  There was also drug paraphernalia and drugs found.  The accused, Bernie Lynn Frances Nadon age 36, was also arrested for possession of alleged cocaine and morphine.  The accused will appear in bail court on November 25, 2014 at 10 a.m.

On November 24, 2014, City Police responded to a domestic matter in the downtown area.  The accused male, age 45, and the victim were engaged in a verbal argument that escalated into a physical altercation by the accused.  It is alleged that the accused pushed the victim onto the couch.  After freeing herself, the victim asked another person to telephone police.  Police arrested the accused for domestic assault. The accused will appear in bail court on November 25, 2014 at 10 a.m.

On November 23, 2014 at 5:45 p.m., patrol officers arrested and charged Curtis White, age 25 of Albert Street East, with theft under $5,000. It is alleged that he removed merchandise from Rome’s Independent Grocer at 44 Great Northern Road. He will appear in court on December 22.
