On September 29, 2014 at 12:30 a.m., patrol officers were called to a residence on Brown Street for a domestic disturbance. Officers learned that a 19-year-old male had assaulted his girlfriend on the two prior days. The victim did not require medical treatment. The 19-year-old male was charged with two counts of assault and one count of breach of recognizance. He will appear in court on September 29, 2014.
On September 28, 2014 at 11:45 p.m., Joseph Martone, age 55 of Shafer Avenue, Sault Ste. Marie was on the property of 482 Black Road, commonly known as Autorama. It is alleged that Martone had broken into a storage trailer and was stealing property from it. Patrol officers arrested and charged him with break and enter, possession of property obtained by crime and trespassing by night. He will appear in bail court on September 29.
On September 29, 2014 at 1 a.m., patrol officers investigated a break in at Lou’s Automotive at 317 Albert Street East. Thieves broke into the business and stole a 2012 Chevrolet Cruz automoblie.
