Sault police have advised the media that officers remain on scene in the 600 block of Albert Street West as the investigation is ongoing.

Police say the incident is not a random act of violence and there is no threat to public safety.

Police are investigating a weapons call in the 600 block of Albert Street West this afternoon.

Police say they responded to a weapons call around 10:45 a.m. this morning and remain on scene as the investigation is ongoing.

Community members are asked to avoid the area so that officers can conduct the investigation.
