Officers seize break-in tools, charge 27-year-old Sault man

Police say the accused was bound by conditions to be in his residence at the time of the alleged offence

On April 20, 2020 officers with Patrol Services arrested 27-year-old Jeffrey Humphries was for possession of break in tools.

On April 20, 2020 at 10:30 p.m. officers observed the accused riding a bicycle and wearing a backpack near a business in the 0-100 block of White Oak Drive. Officers spoke with the accused and learned he was bound by conditions to be in his residence between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.

He was arrested and a subsequent search of the accused found him to be in possession of two drills, three pairs of pliers, a hammer, sockets and a hacksaw. These items were seized as break-in tools.

He is charged with possession of break in tools, breach of probation and two counts of breach of recognizance. He is scheduled to appear in court on June 29, 2020.
