At approximately 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, officers with the Patrol Services unit of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service responded to a call in the 1000 block of Great Northern Road.
The report was of an unwanted person in a gated area of a business on the block.
When officers arrived, police say they saw someone get out of a vehicle parked in the gated area and detained the person.
The person was eventually arrested. No items were reported to have been stolen.
As a result, 26-year-old Shelby Elie-McKeachnie was arrested and charged with breaking and entering with intent.
