Police arrest two for store thefts

One theft occurred March 30, the other one dates back to Nov. 12

On March 30, 2019 officers with the Patrol Services division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 26-year-old Gerald Anglehart of Pawating Place for theft. 

It’s alleged on March 30, 2019 the accused attended a business in the 200 block of McNabb Street and concealed approximately $187 worth of merchandise and left the store without attempting to pay. 

He was apprehended by store security and held for police. He was taken into custody and charged with one count of theft under $5,000. He is scheduled to appear in court on May 6, 2019.

On March 30, 2019 officers with the Patrol Services division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 29-year-old Kyle Massicotte of Cathcart Street for theft under $5,000. 

It’s alleged on Nov. 12, 2018 the accused attended a business in the 200 block of Bay Street, selected items and left the store without attempting to pay for the approximately $126 in product. 

He was located and taken into custody on March 30, 2019. He is charged with one count of theft under $5,000 and one count of breach of probation. He is scheduled to appear in court on May 6, 2019.
