Officers with the Traffic Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service have completed their investigation into a collision that occurred on Jan. 27, 2017 at the intersection of Carmen’s Way and Conmee Avenue.
It has been determined that a loaded tractor trailer was travelling Northbound on Carmen’s Way while a red Toyota Corolla was travelling Westbound on Conmee Avenue. The collision occurred when the Toyota entered the path of the tractor trailer.
As a result of the investigation, the driver of the Toyota Corolla, a 42-year-old female from Sault Ste. Marie has been issued a provincial offences notice for fail to yield to traffic on a through highway.
It was further determined that speed and alcohol were not factors in this collision.
