SAULT STE. MARIE POLICE SERVICE

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service is currently conducting search and rescue efforts on and near the waterways at Pointe Louise Drive in Sault Ste Marie.
Police received a call shortly before 10:30 p.m. on Mar 5, 2017 indicating that a snowmobiler traveling on the ice in this area had gone through the ice.
Officers from Patrol Services, the Emergency Services Unit, K9 Unit as well as Investigation Services are on scene. Additionally Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services, Ambulance, U.S. Coast Guard, Sault Search and Rescue, Chippewa County and Sault Ste. Marie Michigan Police Services are assisting in this effort.
