Quebecer charged with breaking into Wawa business

A resident of Quebec has been charged with breaking into a Wawa business last week.

Ontario Provincial Police were called to Pinewood Drive just before 1 p.m. on Wednesday, August 2.

Arriving officers found a damaged exterior door and items missing from inside the business.

Ilyes Sahed, 34, of Montreal has been charged with:

  • Break, Enter a Place
  • Theft Under $5000 - two counts
  • Mischief Under $5000

The accused remains in custody.

None of the allegations have been tested in court and Sahed is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
