An apparent road rage incident on McNabb Street has led to a local man being charged with assault with a weapon.

At around noon on July 13, Sault Ste. Marie police responded to a report of a conflict between two drivers in the 0-100 block of McNabb.

Witnesses say one of the drivers exited his vehicle and threatened the other with a level before driving away.

Based on the description provided by witnesses, the suspect was arrested the following day.

Ryan Frolich, 41, is charged with one count of assault with a weapon. He was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled back in court on Sept. 18, 2023.

None of the allegations have been tested in court and Frolich is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
