On August 21, 2015 at 8pm 31 year old Ryan Moll of First Avenue attended at the police station and turned himself in after missing court and learning of warrants out for his arrest. The accused was charged with fraud, utter forged document, breach of probation and failing to attend court. The accused will appear in court on September 28, 2015.
On August 21, 2015 at 9pm police arrested 48 year old Dennis Gibbs of East Street It is alleged the accused confronted the victim at a west end business. A verbal argument started which resulted in the accused punching the victim once in the face. The victim required medical attention for non-life threatening injuries as a result of the punch. The accused has been charged with assault causing bodily harm and will attend court on September 28, 2015.
On August 21, 2015 at 10pm police arrested 50 year old Terry Powley of Wellington St E. It is alleged that the accused stole an apartment fridge that did not belong to her. The accused has been charged with theft under $5000 and will appear in court on September 28, 2015.
On August 21, 2015 a female was walking on the Hub Trail when a male on a bike came up behind her and stole her purse. The only description of the male was that he was approximately 19 years old wearing light shorts and a dark shirt. The investigation is continuing.
City Police arrested a 23-year-old male earlier today after allegations were made that he assaulted his common-law girlfriend in September 2014. It was also alleged that between February and March of 2014 the accused refused to let the victim leave their residence during a certain time. Also, on the 21st of August the accused damaged the victim’s cell phone. As a result he was charged with Mischief, Forcible Confinement and assault. He will be appearing in WASH Court August 23.
A 42-year-old woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant today for a domestic related assault which allegedly occurred on August 13 where she alledgedly assaulted her common-law boyfriend. She will be appearing in WASH Court on August 23.
Earlier today a 42-year-old male turned himself in to City Police for an outstanding assault charge which was domestic related which occurred early on the 22nd of August. It is alleged he pushed his common-law girlfriend to the ground. He will be appearing in Provincial Court on September 23.
