A 28 year old male was arrested by City Police officers early Saturday morning as a result of a domestic related incident. It is alleged the accused was drinking when he became involved in an argument with his common-law girlfriend. He allegedly caused damage to the bathroom and then threatened to kill her. As a result he was charged with mischief and threatening death and will be appearing in Provincial Court September 23rd.
Batchewana Reserve Police arrested a 19 year old male on August 29th who was wanted on a warrant issued by the City Police. It is alleged the male sexually assaulted a female in Sault Ste Marie back in May. He is charged with sexual assault and breaching a condition of his probation order which required him to be of good behavior. He will be appearing in WASH court August 30th.
On August 28, 2015 at 9:30 pm Patrol Officers arrested and charged Anthony Belanger, age 24 of Wellington St. East, with Assault. It is alleged that on August 27th he assaulted another adult male. The accused will appear in court on Sept. 28th.
On August 28, 2015 shortly after 10:00 pm a resident of Glasgow Ave. advised police that his garage was broken into. Thieves made off with fishing equipment.
On August 29, 2015 at 2:40 am Patrol Officers arrested and charged a 28 year old male with domestic related Mischief and Threatening. It is alleged he broke a curtain rod and threatened to harm his spouse. He will appear in court on August 29, 2015.
