On August 8, 2015, a young person age 17, appeared in WASH Court (weekend and statutory holiday court) regarding a charge of escape lawful custody and beach of probation x3. The accused was remanded to the Don Doucet Youth Center and will appear in bail court on Monday August 10, 2015 at 10 a.m.
On August 8, 2015, a male accused, age 31, appeared in WASH Court (weekend and statutory holiday court) regarding breaches of court ordered conditions that were implemented as a result of a domestic matter. The accused is alleged to have been in possession of a controlled substance at the time of arrest. The accused was remanded to the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre and will appear in bail court on Monday August 10, 2015 at 10 a.m.
On August 8, 2015, Michael Robert Paquin, age 39, appeared in Wash Court (weekend and statutory holiday court) regarding a charge of mischief and failing to attend court. The accused was released on court ordered conditions and will appear in court on August 31, 2015 at 9 a.m.
On August 5, 2015, at approximately 4:30 a.m., it is alleged that the accused Arian Luzzi, age 18, robbed the victim while being in possession of a handgun or replica handgun. On August 8, 2015 the accused was located in the area of Carufel Avenue and arrested for robbery with a firearm. The accused is scheduled to appear in court on September 14, 2015 at 9 a.m.
A 17-year-old male was arrested by City Police officers yesterday afternoon. The youth was wanted for being unlawfully at large after he had left an open custody institution on August 5 in Sault Ste Marie. Police had received information the youth was at a residence on Great Northern Rd. but he had already left on a City Bus prior to Police arrival. Officers were able to stop the bus and take the accused in custody. He will be appearing in WASH Court August 8.
A 39-year-old male was arrested by City Police on August 7 on an outstanding warrant for failing to appear Court on July 27 for an outstanding mischief charge. He will be appearing in WASH Court August 8.
