On December 12 City Police conducted a vehicle stop on Great Northern Rd. near Northern Ave. Further observations led the officer to demand the driver of the vehicle provide a breath sample into a roadside screening device.

On December 12 City Police conducted a vehicle stop on Great Northern Rd. near Northern Ave. Further observations led the officer to demand the driver of the vehicle provide a breath sample into a roadside screening device. A fail was registered and as a result the driver was transported for a breath test where both samples registered over .08. As a result, 22-year-old Alain Carrier of Central Park Ave. was charged with over the legal limit and will be appearing in Provincial Court January 18, 2016.

A garage was broken into in the 700 block of Letcher St. sometime between December 9 and the 12. Examination by the homeowners led them to believe that gasoline was siphoned from their vehicle.

On December 12, 2015 at 1:06 a.m., City Police and O.P.P were conducting a R.I.D.E. program on McNabb Street.  An eastbound vehicle was checked and the driver exhibited signs of alcohol consumption.  A roadside breath test was carried out and the driver failed.  The driver was arrested and a  subsequent breathalyzer test provided samples over the legal limit.  Kelsey Lee, 28 years of Maplewood Drive, Echo Bay, ON was charged with driving with more than 80 mgs. of alcohol in her blood.  She will be appearing in court on January 18, 2016.
