In the early morning hours of February 1, 2014, three break and enters were reported in the Millcreek Drive area. A variety of property was taken. In the same area, two vehicles were entered and loose change was taken.

A break and enter was reported in the 500 block of MacDonald Avenue. It occurred between January 31 and February 1, 2014. A television was removed.

On January 31, 2014 at 5 p.m., detectives arrested and charged an 18-year-old male with domestic related assault and threatening death. Detectives had learned that the male had assaulted his girlfriend and threatened to harm her and their child. The accused will appear in court on February 1.

A 23-year-old male found himself spending the night at the Police Station. At 7 p.m. police officers found the male walking in the driveway of the Police Station. He was in a very intoxicated condition and unsure of his whereabouts. For the male's own safety he was taken into custody until he sobered up.

On January 31, 2014 at 9:30 p.m., police officers arrested and charged Christine Miller, age 38 of Portage Lane for being unlawfully at large. Miller was to be at the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre earlier on the 31st to serve her intermittent sentence but she failed to attend there. By doing so she also breached to two conditions of her probation. She will appear in court on February 1.  

On January 31, 2014 at shortly after 7 p.m., patrol officers were called to a residence on Willow Ave. Officers learned that a domestic dispute was going on between a couple. As Police were dealing with the parties, they located two firearms that were not safely stored, nor did the male owner legally possess them. A 51-year-old male has been charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm and careless storage of a firearm. He will appear in court on February 1.

Shortly before 11 p.m., police were advised that Peoples Rd. was again open to traffic.

On January 31, 2014 shortly before midnight, patrol officers attended at a residence in the 500 block of Albert St. W. for a disturbance call. Officers found Michael Begin, age 42 of Pine St., yelling at a female. He was arrested and charged with causing a disturbance. He will appear in court on March 3.
