At 10:30 this morning a 36 year old Sault man turned himself in to the city police. The accused was wanted for 3 counts of breaching his probation in relation to a domestic incident.
At 10:30 this morning a 36 year old Sault man turned himself in to the city police. The accused was wanted for 3 counts of breaching his probation in relation to a domestic incident. 

There were no injuries or damage as a result of the accused's actions. The accused will appear in bail court on Monday at 10:00 am.

On the 13th of June 2014 a residence in the 300 block of North Street was broken into.  A laptop computer was stolen. 

On the13th of June 2014 at 8:15 pm City Police attended at a single Motor Vehicle Collision at McNabb Street and Campbell Avenue, a vehicle hit a hydro pole.  Officers noted that the driver appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. As a result of the investigation 33 year old Jeffrey Syrette of Frontenac Street was arrested and charged with Care and Control while ability impaired and over .80.  He will appear in court on July 14th, 2014. 

On the 14th of June 2014 at 1:30am the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service investigated a domestic assault complaint. Officers learned that the female victim had been assaulted by her 44 year old male boyfriend. The assault consisted of being pushed and punched and had kitchen knives thrown at her.   The victim did not require any medical attention.  The accused has been charged with assault and assault with a weapon.  Further this male was on probation and failed to comply with three of his conditions.  He has also been charged with three counts of Breach of Probation.  He was also charged with mischief from October 2013 for burning the victims clothing and for pointing a firearm at the victim in October 2013.  He will appear in WASH (Weekend and Statutory Holiday) Court today. 

On the 14th of June 2014 at 2:20am City Police observed a possible impaired driver on Second Line West.  The vehicle had no headlights on and was weaving side to side crossing two lanes at a time.  Officers noted that the driver appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. As a result of the investigation 33 year old Robyn Eshkibok of Old Garden River Road was arrested and charged with over .80.  She will appear in Court on July 14th.
