A residence in the 200 block of Wellington St. E. was reported broken into sometime on May 13. A 55 inch flat screen television, blue ray DVD, an X Box and games, a cell phone and sleeping bags were reported stolen.

On May 14, 2016 City Police responded to a call in the east end of the city.  The call was in regards to damage done to a vehicle and there was a suspect present.  Investigation revealed that a young person, age 17, allegedly had caused damage to vehicle during the overnight hours.  The accused was arrested for mischief under $5,000 and brought to the police station.  The accused was later released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear in court on June 21, 2016 at 9:30 a.m.

On May 13 City Police arrested 19-year-old Kenneth Hunt for theft from Romes. It is alleged that he left the store without paying for merchandise valued at over $100 and was apprehended by store security. Further investigation led to the accused being charged with theft from the Beauty Tips in the Cambrian Mall on May 12 where it is alleged he stole over $100 in merchandise from that store as well. While the accused was in custody at the City Police station, he caused damage to one of the cells and was subsequently charged with mischief. He will be appearing in Provincial Court on June 13.
