A vehicle which was reported stolen to the City Police overnight was recovered in the Wawa area early this morning by OPP. The vehicle was stolen from a west end residence. The OPP advised City Police that they had three persons in custody in relation to the theft but no further information has been provided at the time of this report.
A residence in the 200 block of Wellington St. E. was broken into overnight. A purse was the only item reported stolen.
On May 8 at 6:55 p.m., police officers arrested and charged Mandi Klages, age 40, of Goulais Avenue, with possession of a controlled drug. It is alleged that she had a small amount of cocaine in her possession. She will appear in court on June 8.
On May 8 at 11:30 p.m. patrol officers arrested and charged a 23-year-old male with three counts of breach of recognizance. The male was on a domestic related recognizance with conditions not to communicate or be with a female victim from his original charge. He breached those conditions. The accused will appear in court on May 11.
On May 9, 2015 at 1:20 a.m. patrol officers arrested and charged Chantelle Syrette, age 28, of Allard Street, with impaired driving, driving over .08 and possession of a controlled drug. Officers were called to an east end address where the accused was located in her vehicle. Subsequent breath tests revealed she was over the legal limit of alcohol in her blood. A search located a small amount of marihuana in her possession. She will appear in court on June 8.
