On September 13, 2014, City Police responded to a call to have two females removed from a residence as they were allegedly causing damage within the house. Upon arriving, two females were located fleeing the scene.

On September 13, 2014, City Police responded to a call to have two females removed from a residence as they were allegedly causing damage within the house.  Upon arriving, two females were located fleeing the scene.  Further investigation revealed the two females were young persons and were at the residence and consuming alcohol.  When asked to leave, one of the females began to damage property within the residence.  One female, age 17 years of age, was arrested for mischief under $5,000, breach of recognizance (condition not to consume alcohol), and breach of probation x3.  The accused appeared in WASH court (weekend and statutory holiday court).  A check of the second female revealed that she was also on probation not to consume alcohol and to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.  The accused, age 15, will appear in court on October 14, 2014 at 9:30 a.m.

On September 13, 2014, City Police responded at the Walmart in the Station Mall regarding a male shoplifter.  It is alleged that the male was in sporting goods and was observed putting fishing equipment and tools into a back pack. The male then left the store without paying and was apprehended by a loss prevention officer.  Police attended and arrested 44-year-old Stephen Samuel Hilb of Goulais Avenue for theft under $5,000.  The accused will appear in court on October 20, 2014 at 9 a.m.

On September 13, 2014 at approximately 12 a.m., City Police responded to a domestic related incident. Investigation revealed that the accused, age 42, and the victim were involved in a verbal argument after consuming alcohol.  The victim locked herself in the bedroom and the accused allegedly punched a hole in the door in an attempt to gain access to the room and the victim.  Police arrested the accused for domestic mischief under $5,000.  The accused appeared in WASH court earlier today.

On September 12, 2014 at 4:00 pm Patrol Officers arrested and charged Ryan Derasp, age 26 of Wellington St. East, with theft under $5,000. It is alleged he shoplifted merchandise at Walmart at 293 Bay St. He will appear in court on October 20.

On August 17, Brent Simspson, age 42 of Adrian Dr. and Tyler Bower, age 21 of no fixed address are alleged to have entered a downtown residence and robbed its owner. They stole cash and a phone from the victim. On September 17 at 3:30 p.m. Police Officers arrested and charged both accused with robbery. Simpson was additionally charged with two counts of breach of probation. Both will appear in WASH Court on September 13.

On September 12 at 4:30 p.m. Patrol Officers arrested and charged a 29-year-old male with theft and assault following a domestic incident. The male attended his ex-girlfriends residence and stole cash from her. Officers learned that in late August the accused had struck her causing minor injuries. He will appear in WASH Court on September 13.
