On September 18, 2015 City Police investigated three separate thefts allegedly committed by the same person. A scooter was taken from an east end residence but was later recovered.

On September 18, 2015 City Police investigated three separate thefts allegedly committed by the same person.  A scooter was taken from an east end residence but was later recovered. A bicycle was taken from another east end residence but while the accused, age 27, was riding the bicycle he was apprehended and brought to the police station, after a citizen’s arrest had been made. While at the police station the accused attempted to take a Taser from an officer and had to be subdued. Further investigation was done and it was apparent that the accused had been at a local high school and allegedly took Nike gym shorts from the locker room. The accused stands charged with 3 counts of theft under $5,000.00, obstruct police, disarming a police officer and one charge of possession of a controlled substance. The accused is scheduled to appear in court on October 19, 2015 at 9 am.

On September 18, 2015 City Police responded to a domestic incident in the east end of the city. Investigation revealed that a verbal argument escalated into a physical confrontation. It is alleged that the accused male, age 33 physically assaulted the female victim. During the assault two doors were damaged. The accused was arrested for assault and mischief. The accused will appear in Wash Court (weekend and statutory holiday court) on September 19, 2015.

On September 18, 2015 City Police responded to a call at a local pawn shop that had received property believed to have been stolen. Police investigation led to the arrest of William Mark Daigle, age 46. The accused is charged with possession of property obtained by crime and breach of probation. The accused is scheduled to appear in court on October 19, 2015 at 9 a.m.

On Sept 18, 2015 at approximately 11:40 a.m. a concerned motorist followed a vehicle that appeared to be driving in a very erratic manner. The motorist called police and a short time later the vehicle was pulled over on Trunk Road. The driver exhibited signs of impairment. City Police arrested the accused Philip Thomas Trickett, age 45 for having care and control of a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol and transported the accused to the police station for a breathalyzer test. The accused allegedly had consumed over the legal limit and was also charged with consuming over the legal limit while having care and control of a motor vehicle. The accused is scheduled to appear in court on October 19, 2015 at 9 am.

On September 19, 2015 City Police arrested a 20-year-old female in regards to a domestic incident that took place at a Wellington Street East residence. It alleged that the accused assault her boyfriend by punching him in the face. He did not require any medical attention. The accused was charged with one count of assault and will be appearing in domestic court on October 21, 2015 at 9:30 a.m.
