Sault man accused of sexual assault, luring underage victims

Police say the offences occurred in the summer and fall of 2019 as well as January of this year

Police have charged Justin Hodder in relation to a sexual assault investigation.

A news release issued today by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service alleges that on three occasions, the 24-year-old accused contacted underage victims via social media.

Police say the offences occurred in the summer and fall of 2019 as well as January of this year.

On March 19, 2021, officers with Investigation Services charged 24-year-old Justin Hodder with luring and sexual assault.

It is alleged in the summer of 2019 the accused used social media to lure an underage victim to send intimate images to him. He later met the victim and touched them for a sexual purpose.

It is further alleged in the fall of 2019 the accused used social media to send intimate images of himself to an underage victim. He later met the victim and touched them for a sexual purpose.

It is further alleged in January 2021 the accused used social media to ask another underage victim to meet for a sexual purpose and send intimate images of himself to the victim.

He was located on March 19, 2021 and arrested.

He is charged with two counts of luring, two counts of sexual assault, two counts of exposure to a person under the age of 16, invitation to sexual touching, and possession of child pornography.

He was held for WASH court.
