Sault man charged after getting caught with brass knuckles

On April 4, 2019, officers with the Patrol Services division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested and charged 30-year-old Justin Tessier of Great Northern Road for a number of offences related to the possession of brass knuckles. 

On April 4, 2019 officers observed the accused in the west end of the city. It was determined he was wanted on an outstanding warrant and police took him into custody. 

During a search of the accused incident to arrest, officers found brass knuckles in his coat pocket. He is charged with one count of carrying a concealed prohibited weapon, one count of possession of a prohibited weapon for a dangerous purpose, one count of unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon, one count of possession of a prohibited weapon knowing its possession is unauthorized and one count of fail to appear in court. 

He is scheduled to appear in court on May 13, 2019.
