Police have charged a 33-year-old with assault in connection with a January incident on Northern Avenue.
On Jan. 18, 2024, a 911 call was made reporting an assault in the 200 block of Northern Avenue.
Officers went to the scene but the accused had already left. Police say an investigation determined that the accused slapped and pushed two different people, both of whom were unknown to the assailant.
Neither victim was injured.
A warrant was obtained for the arrest of the accused.
On Thursday, police say they found the accused in the 100 block of Adrian Drive during an unrelated call and made an arrest on the strength of the warrant.
Kayla Larouche is charged with two counts of assault.
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled back in court on July 8.
None of the allegations have been tested in court and Larouche is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
