A 14-year-old is facing multiple charges after being arrested on Friday.

The teen was charged after a victim returned home on Thursday from being away for the month of July. Upon return, police say they noticed items missing from their room in a multi-unit residence and called 911.

Police say an investigation revealed that a teenager entered the victim's room and took several items worth over $5,000.

The teen is charged with:

  • breaking, entering, and committing
  • theft over $5,000
  • mischief over $5,000
  • possession of property obtained by crime

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled back in court in October.

None of the allegations have been tested in court and the teenager is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
