UPDATE: Police issue third alert for missing man in wheelchair

Sault Ste. Marie police issued a third news release this afternoon asking the public to help find a missing 64-year-old man who uses a wheelchair.

Leslie Boyer was last seen Friday night around 6:25 p.m. in the 700 block of Third Line East, wearing plaid pyjamas and a blue T-shirt with white writing. His left leg is amputated and he uses a manually operated wheelchair.

"This is not a criminal investigation," reads today's news release. "Sault Police simply need to make sure that Leslie is safe. Your assistance is vital to ensuring Leslie’s safety and well-being."

Boyer is described as 5-foot-11 with a thin build, brown eyes, long grey hair and grey facial hair.

Anyone who has had contact with Boyer, or has information regarding his whereabouts, is asked to contact the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service at 705-949-6300.
