Sault woman accused of stealing almost $600 worth of locks

Police say the woman attended a business in the 200 block of McNabb Street and left the store without attempting to pay for items

On May 9, 2020 officers with the Drug Enforcement Unit and Crime Suppression Unit arrested 22-year-old Patience MacKinnon for theft under $5,000.

It’s alleged on March 27, 2020 the accused attended a business in the 200 block of McNabb Street, selected two door lock mechanisms from the shelves and left without attempting to pay. The locks are valued at approximately $599.

On May 9, 2020 at 8:21 p.m. officers observed her walking on Great Northern Road. She was arrested and is charged with theft under $5,000 and breach of probation. She is scheduled to appear in court on July 27, 2020.
