Sault woman accused of stealing packages from mail boxes

Police say the accused stole $65 worth of bras and a leash from the Walnut Street area

On June 16, 2020 officers with Patrol Services arrested 20-year-old Rune Laudadio for theft under $5,000.

At 3:05 p.m. police received a call of a woman taking items out of mail boxes in the area of Spruce Street. Officers responded and found the accused in the area of Tancred Street and London Street.

The accused was stopped by police and she allowed officers to search her purse. Police located two bras in original packaging and a leash in its original packaging. The items taken are valued at $65. The investigation revealed the items were taken from Walnut Street.

She was arrested and charged with theft under $5,000, two counts of possession of property obtained by crime and breach of probation. She is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 24, 2020
