Second arrest made in November kidnapping investigation

Sault Police have made a second arrest in connection to a kidnapping investigation.

A news release issued today by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service alleges that on Nov. 25, Christian Boissoneau and Claude Corriveau, who was previously apprehended on Dec. 14, forced a victim into a vehicle.

The victim was injected "with a substance" and driven to a residence where they were restrained and threatened, the release states.

The victim managed to escape on Nov. 28 and contact authorities.

Police located and arrested Boissoneau on Friday.

The 38-year-old accused was held for bail court and stands charged with kidnapping, forcible confinement, administering a noxious thing, uttering threats, assault, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and breach of recognizance.
