A resident in the 100 block of Central Street reported the theft of his wallet from his vehicle overnight. The front window of Weddings Etc. at 648 Queen Street East was smashed overnight.

At 3:06 this morning officers on patrol stopped a motor vehicle on Second Line East at North Street.

Investigation revealed that the vehicle had been stolen from a residence in the area of the YMCA.

Matthew Parise, age 18 of 524A Goulais Avenue, is charged with one count of theft of a motor vehicle and one count of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

Eighteen-year-old Alex Panco of 13 St. Basils Drive is charged with theft of a motor vehicle and possession of stolen property over $5,000.

It is also alleged that he was in possession of a small amount of marijuana and was on probation with conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

He was also charged with those two offences.

Both will be appearing in court on September 9.

On August 3, 2013 officers were called to a family dispute and at that time a check of the accused was done and found that the accused was on an undertaking with conditions. 

One of the conditions was to notify police if he changed his address. 

The accused failed to comply with that condition. 

Matthew Nieminen, age 21, will appear in court on September 9, 2013 at 9 a.m.

Break and enter in the two hundred block of Chambers Avenue. 

A lone male entered an unlocked door of the residence. 

The culprit was confronted by the complainant and scared off. 

Nothing appears to have been taken in the incident.
