Outstanding arrest warrant leads to arrest

On Dec. 10, 2016, City Police conducted a traffic stop in the downtown area. As a result a male age 46 was checked and it was found that there was an outstanding arrest warrant for him. The accused, Donald Gerard Turner, was arrested for break and enter and breach of probation.

The original charge of break and enter occurred on Oct. 10, 2016 when it is alleged that two males broke into a cottage in the west end of the city and power tools, a generator and a firearm were removed.

The accused is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 16, 2017 at 9 a.m.
