On the afternoon of December 13, 2015 patrol officers responded to Canada Customs in regards to a male in custody. The investigation resulted in the arrest of 46-year-old Albert Day of Garden River.

On the afternoon of December 13, 2015 patrol officers responded to Canada Customs in regards to a male in custody.  The investigation resulted in the arrest of 46-year-old Albert Day of Garden River.  There was an outstanding warrant for his arrest for failing to appear in court to answer to a charge of transportation fraud. He will be appearing in court January 18, 2016.

On the morning of December 13, 2015 patrol officers arrested and charged 31-year-old Brent Royer of James St. with one count of mischief.  It is alleged that Royer damaged the vehicle of a person known to him by using a tool and scratching the paint. He will be appearing in court January 18, 2016.

On the afternoon of December 13, 2015 patrol officers responded to a shoplifting complaint at a business in the north part of the city.  As a result of their investigation 21-year-old Steven Kozak of Sheppard Ave was arrested and charged with theft under $5,000.  It is alleged that Kozak attempted to leave the store with a set of pots and pans valued at over $400 making no attempt to pay for the items. He will be appearing in court January 18, 2016.

A shed was broken into overnight in the 700 block of Wellington St E. Suspects gained entry by breaking the lock.  A chainsaw, leaf blower, and a shopvac were reported stolen.

A break in was reported in the 100 block of Ferris Ave.  Sometime overnight the front door to the residence was forced open.  It is not believed anything was taken.

A break in was reported to a residence in the 400 block of Rowell Ave.  Entry was gained to the residence through an unlocked window.  Televisions and jewelry were reported stolen.

On December 12, 2015 at 2:20 p.m., officers arrested 61-year-old Ronald Kenney of Queen Street East. It is alleged that the accused attended a downtown department store and selected $458 worth of razor blades and place them in a shopping bag. After concealing the items the accused exited the store making no attempted to pay for these items. The accused was apprehended by store security and police were notified. Upon police arrival the accused falsely identified himself to officers. The accused has been charged with theft under $5,000 and obstructing police. The accused will appear in court on January 18.

Sometime between 7 p.m. on December 11 and 3 p.m. December 12 unknown culprits broke into a home on St James Street. After kicking in the back door the culprits stole TVs, a VCR and a 2010 red Dodge Avenger Ontario license BKRC 786.

Sometime on December 12 unknown culprits broke into a school on Arizona Avenue by smashing the glass door. It’s unknown at this time what was taken in the break in.

On December 12 at 6:20 p.m. a lone male robbed the Shell Gas Station Store on McNabb Street at Pine Street. The suspect entered the store, jumped on the counter and demanded money. The male clerk complied with the demand and was not harmed. The male fled the store with a small undisclosed amount of money. Officers from the Emergency Services Unit as well as the K-9 Unit and police dog Justice also assisted on the call. The suspect is described as approximately 6 feet tall, med build, 20 to 30 years old. The suspect was wearing blue jeans and a sky blue jacket with a wide grey stripe on the sleeves and down the sides. Officers from Investigation Services have been assigned to work on this robbery.
