21-year-old Ryan Young of Selby Road was arrested for breaching a release document. It is alleged that the accused was located outside his residence at approximately 4 a.m. despite being on a curfew to be in his residence every night.

21-year-old Ryan Young of Selby Road was arrested for breaching a release document. It is alleged that the accused was located outside his residence at approximately 4 a.m. despite being on a curfew to be in his residence every night. He will be appearing in court on March 3 charged with one count of breach of a recognizance.

On the 25 January 2014 City Police were called to the area of the Market Mall regarding a disorderly male. On arrival the officers located a man in an intoxicated condition. He was belligerent to passersby and refusing to follow directions given to him to stop his behaviour. Despite being offered a ride to a more comfortable abode at the Detoxification Centre, his aggressive nature and intoxicated state gave officers no choice but to have the 42-year-old man spend the night at the City Police holding cells. The man was charged with being intoxicated in a public place. He will be released when he is better able to care for himself and no longer a danger to anyone else.

On the 25 January 2014 City Police were called to a business in the 100 block of Queen St East. It seems an intoxicated female entered a business and vomited inside. The bewildered staff called for assistance. Officers located the woman, who was hardly able to stand, a short distance from the establishment. The 25-year-old female was taken to the Police Station where she spent the night recuperating from her misadventures. She was charged with being intoxicated in a public place and will be released when she is better able to care for herself.

On the 25 January 2014 City Police were called by a male complainant regarding his ex-girlfriend continually texting him. The female was on a recognizance and a probation order to have no communication with the man. She was subsequently charged with two counts of breaching her recognizance and four counts of breach of probation. She will be appearing in court on the 26 February 2014.
