On July 20, 2014 police located an 18-year-old male that was wanted on warrants for failing to appear court x2 on an obstruct police charge and possession of a controlled substance charge. The accused was arrested on the warrant. The charges stem from an incident when he was considered a young person under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. He will be appearing in Bail Court on July 21, 2014.
On July 20, police were called to a downtown residence for a domestic dispute. Investigation revealed that the 32-year-old male [allegedly] punched the female victim in the face several times. He was also on several probation orders with conditions regarding the victim. The male was arrested charged with assault and six counts of breach of probation. He will appear in Bail Court on July 21, 2014.
On July 20, 2014, Ontario Provincial Police in Wawa had occasion to check a 22-year-old female Kristi-Lee Burch of White River, Ontario. The female was wanted by Sault Ste. Marie Police Service on several outstanding warrants. As a result she was arrested and returned to Sault Ste. Marie where the warrants were executed. She is charged with failing to appear court on the 20th of January on charges of theft of a credit card, theft under $5,000, possession of a stolen credit card and breach of an undertaking. She will be appearing in Bail Court on July 21, 2014
On July 19 2014, Sault Police attended at a local downtown motel regarding a male (age 36) meeting with a young person. The male was on a recognizance with conditions not be communicate or be around the young person or be around any young person under the age of 18 years. The accused is charged with three counts of breach of recognizance and will appear in Wash Court (weekend and statutory holiday court) on July 20, 2014.
On July 19, 2014 officers attended at the Walmart at 293 Bay Street and arrested the accused Dylan Richard Daigle, age 18 of no fixed address, for trespassing. As a result of the arrest a security person was assaulted. A further check of the accused was done and it was found that the accused breached two separate probation orders. The accused is charged with assault and breach of probation x3. The accused will appear in Wash Court on July 20, 2014.
On July 19, 2014 police responded to a theft call at the Walmart at 293 Bay Street. A female was stopped by security for stealing $25.57 in groceries. Melanie Anne Turner, age 41 of no fixed address. was arrested for theft under $5,000 and two counts of breach of recognizance. The accused will appear in Wash Court on July 20, 2014.
On July 19, 2014 police responded to a domestic argument in the 30 block of Boehmer Blvd. As a result of the argument it is alleged that a young person age 17 assaulted another male with a weapon (knife). Police also located a pellet gun in the back pack of the accused. The accused was charged with assault with a weapon and will appear in court on August 26, 2014 at 9:30 a.m.
On July 19, 2014 police responded to an alleged assault with a weapon. An accused male age 27 stabbed another male with a pencil causing the victim to endure several puncture type wounds. The accused will appear in court on August 25, 2014 at 9 a.m.
